On Sunday, June 5th Chassagne opened its gates to an avid group of Plein Air artists who spent the day setting up their portable easels at various places, working to create fresh works of art. Their instructor Eileen MacArthur offered valuable and enthusiastic guidance as she conducted this workshop on behalf of the Guelph School of Art . The moody and changeable skies offered dramatic light variations over the Chassagne "paysage".  Many of the landscape paintings and animal studies were astounding and it was fascinating to see Chassagne's beauty through the eyes of other artists. Indeed Chassagne is coming into her own; it has been nine full years since we came to this place and started to shape her into the lovely domaine that she is today.
